Unity Package Migration 8.0.0+
This guide lists the different update scenarios for existing LevelPlay users moving from an earlier version of the ironSource SDK to 8.0.0+, including:
- Unity Plugin/.unitypackage users going from .unitypackage < 8.0.0 to .unitypackage 8.0.0+
- Ads Mediation package users going from Ads Mediation 1.0.0 to Ads Mediation 8.0.0+
- Unity Plugin/.unitypackage users going from .unitypackage < 8.0.0 to Ads Mediation package 8.0.0+
These steps are necessary for a smooth upgrade to 8.0.0. The process involves removing the existing installation, installing the new one, then reinstalling the adapters.
Update Unity Plugin to 8.0.0+
To upgrade from an earlier version of the Unity Plugin (.unitypackage) to version 8.0.0 or later, complete the following steps:
- Open your project in the Unity Editor.
- In the Project window, locate the Assets > IronSource folder. Delete the IronSource folder and its contents.
- Download the latest version of the Unity Plugin and import it into your Unity project.
- In your project in the Unity Editor, go to Ads Mediation > Network Manager.
- Select Install to reinstall network adapters.
Update Ads Mediation package to 8.0.0+
To upgrade from version 1.0.0 of the Ads Mediation package in the Unity Package Manager to version 8.0.0 or later, complete the following steps:
- Using a supported Editor version, open your project in the Unity Editor.
- In the Project window, locate the Assets > IronSource folder. Delete the IronSource folder and its contents.
- Return to your project in the Unity Editor and go to Window > Package Manager.
- In the Package Manager window:
- Select Packages > Unity Registry.
- Select Ads Mediation from the list of packages, and then select Update.
- Open your project in the Unity Editor and go to Ads Mediation > Network Manager.
- Select Install to reinstall network adapters.

Migrate to the Ads Mediation package
To migrate from the Unity Plugin to the Ads Mediation package, complete the following steps:
- Using a supported Editor version, open your project in the Unity Editor.
- In the Project window, locate the Assets > IronSource folder. Delete the IronSource folder and its contents.
- Return to your project in the Unity Editor and go to Window > Package Manager.
- In the Package Manager window:
- Select Packages > Unity Registry.
- Select Ads Mediation from the list of packages, and then select Install.
- Open your project in the Unity Editor and go to Ads Mediation > Network Manager.
- Select Install to reinstall network adapters.
